La nueva serie original de Hulu, The Handmaid's Tale dominó las nominaciones a la 33° ceremonia de los TCA Awards, premios organizados por la Asociación de Críticos de Televisión de Estados Unidos (Television Critics Association).
La serie, basada en la novela homónima escrita por Margaret Atwood, cosechó nominaciones en cuatro rubros: Programa del Año, Mejor Serie - Drama, Mejor Programa Nuevo y Mejor Interpretación en un Drama para Elisabeth Moss. Cerca quedaron Atlanta y This is Us, también nominadas en cuatro secciones.
Stranger Things, The Crown, The Good Place y las miniseries Big Little Lies y Feud: Bette and Joan siguieron en el conteo con tres menciones, mientras que Fleabag, Fargo, Master of None, Veep y la última temporada de The Leftovers figuraron con dos nominaciones.
El año pasado, el serial The People v O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story arrasó con la ceremonia al llevarse tres premios, incluyendo Programa del Año y Mejor Interpretación en Drama para Sarah Paulson. Otros ganadores en el año incluían a Mr. Robot (Mejor Programa Nuevo), The Americans (Mejor Serie - Drama), Black-ish (Mejor Serie - Comedia) y Making a Murderer (Mejor Programa de Realidad).
La entrega 33 de los TCA Awards se llevará a cabo el 5 de Agosto.
